How do you feel about the family bed?
When my babies were brand new and still nursing through the night, I often times would fall asleep while nursing. I never felt completely comfortable with this. I know I didn't get good sound sleep because every time the baby or my husband would move, I would come awake and make sure she was not getting hurt. A couple of times, I awoke to my dh rolling over onto the baby. I just didn't think it was safe. I am a firm believer of getting your baby into his or her own bed as soon as you can. When they are first born, it is so easy to let them sleep with you. But I know of many cases when you have two and three year olds (or older) still in their parents' bed. This has to be a strain on your sleep not to mention your love life.
