These are the thoughts of a mother; The thoughts of a wife; The thoughts of a woman. Not all of my thoughts are centered around my family, but I just thought it would be interesting to keep track of my day to day musings.

Well, Tuesday I got the girls registered for school. Hannah was already registered, but the older three had to wait until August 5th before I could turn in their paperwork. I was there for over an hour doing paperwork! My thumb still hurts!

Anyway, registering was done Tuesday, and I took Ariana to her school on Wednesday to register for classes. She's set for Algebra and Spanish, along with the usuals. Algebra will set her up to take Geometry as a Freshman and Spanish is actually Spanish 1 for H.S. credit. She should do fine in that since she's been taking Spanish since 4th grade.

Now, all I need to do is get their school supplies and finish up some clothes shopping. I'm excited for them. They're actually looking forward to starting school too. Only 12 more days to go. I'm sure they'll go fast!

Ciao,
N

Wow, the summer has sped by so quickly...sounds cliche, but it's true. Jim spent most of it in China, consequently, I spent most of it running around like the proverbial headless chicken.

It's good to have him home, but time has already escaped us and there's no getting it back. With school just a couple weeks away, there is a lot to do, and not much time for things like vacations. Perhaps we can do a weekend trip somewhere and then take a big vacation over winter break. Ariana is going to a mini vacation with Jim's brother's family to Pennsylvania. They'll be gone until early next week.

It's hard to believe that school wil be starting in a little over two weeks. The girls are going to public school this year. It will be culture shock I'm sure, at least with regards to the sheer volume of students. They're going from less than 30 kids in their class to close to 300. They're excited though. It will be good for them to have more opportunities for academic growth. With the Catrholic schools accepting voucher kids from struggling schools, the academcs in the private school has started to stagnate. I don't think my oldest learned anything new in math or reading this past year.

Well, off to enjoy my half day off. Enjoy the rest of your summer days.

Ciao,
N
